2010: Accomplishments & Occasions

Since it's a new year, and everyone is thinking about their resolutions and how much they did/did not accomplish in the last year, I decided to make a list of the important things that happened to me (or that I made happen) in 2010...

1. In May, I took my first trip outside of the country... to GREECE
Athens, In front of the Parthenon on top of the Acropolis
Sunset on Mykonos
The experience was absolutely amazing.  Greece was everything I imagined it to be and more!  I learned a lot on the trip, not only about Ancient Greece, but also about traveling and the current problems occuring now.  I cannot wait to return and I miss the food and gorgeous views everyday.

2. I found out that I was accepted into Truman's graduate program to pursue my Masters Degree in Education.  By next year, I will have completed my Masters degree and will be one step closer to being a teacher.

3. I turned 21 and celebrated with my best friends.  It was seriously the best birthday I have ever had.

4. At the end of the summer, Bryan and I celebrated our four year anniversary.  We took the day to recreate our first date.  It was super cute and I can hardly believe that it has been four years!

5. I wanted to make a point to enjoy my college experience as much as possible in the past year, as I only have one more semester in Kirksville.  I think I can say that I successfully participated in college this past year :)

6. Since Bryan and I declared our Cardinals fandom last year, we continued to be fans, attending as many games as possible!

7. On the Greece trip previously mentioned, I dropped and broke my point-and-shoot camera... the good news is that I bought a new one!  I have a Canon Rebel XS and am loving it.  I have also been taking a ton more pictures, which was one of my goals for this year.

8. This year, I fufilled an important role for Sigma Kappa.  I very much enjoyed my position and the time I spent helping my sorority.

9. These past two semesters i have gotten a 4.0!  Hello, accomplishment!

10. I also started a blog for teaching ideas... not too big of a deal, but just a tool to help me keep everything that I am learning in one place for the future.
